Kylee's 4th Birthday Party!!

   Kylee's birthday isn't until January 20th, but because she is due to have her 2nd surgery on the 23rd, her party was thrown early this year. Kylee had a great day with her friends & family, and we also had Creature Quest, which is a company here in Toronto - they bring various animals to your home(you get to choose! :) and do a show & tell type presentation with them! Kylee LOVES all sorts of animals, so we invited Creature Quest to join the festivities. It was such a fun time! :)

Who is Kylee?

Kylee is a 3 1/2 year old girl who loves cats, animals of all kinds, as well as her family and friends. Kylee loves to sing, watch movies, play with her cousins and friends, jump on the trampoline, and go on all sorts of fun adventures with her mommy, daddy & family. She is sweet, loving, funny, and is very smart. Everyone loves Kylee :)

Team Kylee

Hi Everyone, on behalf of Dallas & Shannon, we are creating Team Kylee for support, love, well-wishes for Kylee ♥ & to help bring awareness to Hip Dysplasia.

We recently learned that Kylee (3 1/2yrs old) has Hip Dysplasia, basically both her hips are dislocated and she will be undergoing multiple surgeries to make her "boo-boo's" better. Her 1st surgery is scheduled for October 17th.. #Team Kylee is for anyone who wants to show their love & support, write well wishes or find updates on how Kylee is doing. About Kylee

Kylee was born Jan 20.2008 and was a beautiful healthy winter baby. Kylee is currently 3 ½ and loves life. She loves to run and play and sing like every other kid. We recently found out that Kylee has Hip Dysplasia, which means her hip bones are dislocated and will need surgeries to fix and mold her hips back together to hopefully one day be able to move around just like you and me.

Kylee's 1st surgery is booked for Oct 17 2011 at Sick kids Hospital by Dr. Wedge, head of Orthopedic department at Sick Kids. After a major surgery, Kylee will be in a body cast (Spica cast) from her chest to her ankles and not be able to move around on her own or even sit up. As Kylee’s Mother,I have quit my job to look after my beautiful little girl and give her the support she will so badly need.

If all goes well, Kylee will go for her 2nd surgery on Dec 2 2011 and from there will be in the same body cast til' mid Feb and then will have to begin the long road of relearning everything she had worked so hard on learning as a tot: walking, crawling, and possibly even toilet training and what ever other surprises may come up during this period.

This is going to be very hard on Kylee as she has no idea anything is wrong with her and as of right now can walk and run and play like all the other kids. But on Oct 17 her life is going to forever change as she will dance into the hosptal, loving life, without a care in the world, but she will wake up and be trapped in a body cast and not be able to move or sit for 4-6mths. We will do everything in our power to make Kylee happy and enjoy every moment that she can be the sad reality is she is going to miss out on so much.
